what i do

past projects i had fun building
PureLash (2023)

Designed a safer mascara that stops the eye irritation most mascaras cause, using silver iodide nanoparticles embedded in the brush's silicone surface that kill bacteria on contact before they ever reach your eye.

Storee (2022)

Built a mobile app that turns your chaotic camera roll into an automatically organized digital scrapbook of your life story, because thousands of memories shouldn't sit untouched on our phones.

787 Investing / Coconet (2020-2022)

Started 787 Investing with my high school friend Jaime after noticing a big knowledge gap in personal finance and institutional investing in the Puerto Rican community. We grew the community to 100+ active members, developed educational materials, and built a full ecosystem around professional development and current events in business and investing. Watching 787 come alive, we realized we'd stumbled into something bigger than a community -- we'd found a better way to learn. That's why we built Coconet, an online school where you get good by doing, socializing, and competing, not by sitting and listening. We started with investing, with a vision to grow into the important subjects traditional school overlooks.

Beat the Buzzer Podcast (2020-2021)

Launched a sports podcast with my college roommate Noah focused on punchy, under-15-minute NBA debates, because while the basketball news space was already well covered, nobody was serving the classic barbershop-style debates that fans actually love to argue about.

Looking back, a lot of these problems were so fun to work on, and I still think some of them matter (for instance, my camera roll is still extremely cluttered, and the education system strips fun away from a very early age!). It's very clear to me that I'm at my happiest when I'm creating and learning in steep-slope environments.
